Being born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Edison, New Jersey that bestowed Brittany Murphy with the adaptability that has allowed her to conquer a fairly prodigious amount of projects for her 25 years. After having some success with titles such as “Nuevo amanecer, Un” (1988) and “Teresa” (1989), Hayek left a relatively easy career in Mexican TV and traveled to Los Angeles, searching for the promised land: Hollywood. When Hugh Grant was picked up with Divine Brown, Hurley became headline news. Added to this was the fact that she was the model representing top cosmetics house Estee Lauder, and there was no place Hurley could go to get away from the press. In 1994, Hurley and Hugh Grant set up Simian Films in partnership with Castle Rock Entertainment. As Head of Development, Hurley found the script and produced her first film Extreme Measures (1996), which stars Hugh Grant.

Her father is renowned Sydney psychologist Anthony Kidman famous for his work with breast cancer patients. On February 5th 1999 she separated from husband Tom Cruise. Nicole dropped out of high school, and at the age of 16 appeared in Australian holiday favorite “Bush Christmas”. It wasn’t until 1989 that Kidman appeared in a U.S. film, which was named “Dead Clam”. Her next big film was the one where she starred along side Tom Cruise in “Days of Thunder”.
